The 2022 Nissan GT-R Nismo is a high-performance version of the already impressive Nissan GT-R. Introduced almost more than a decade ago, the Nissan GT-R has served as a dominant successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The Japanese automaker has improved the Nissan GT-R giving it increased performance and capability. The Nissan GT-R NISMO enhances those improvements and also updates the sports car with new styling. Although Nissan has been ramping up its electrification efforts, the Japanese automaker has still found time to offer highly capable vehicles like the GT-R NISMO. What to Expect From the 2022 Nissan GT-R NISMO

The 2022 Nissan GT-R NISMO arrives with a 3.8L twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 600 horsepower and 481lb-ft of torque. Nissan has fitted the sports car with the same turbochargers used on the Nissan GT-R GT3 race car. As such, it provides drivers with impressive speed and acceleration offering a 0-60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds. This powerful V6 engine is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which complements the GT-R NISMO’s performance by allowing drivers to stay in third gear for longer stretches.

Along with its high-performance standards, the 2022 GT-R NISMO also arrives with distinguished styling that adds to its aesthetic. The sports car features an angular look with an aggressive front end with extended LED headlights. These are complemented by a large rear wing, quad-exit tailpipes, and red trim. The Nissan GT-R NISMO also features a carbon fiber hood, roof, trunk lid, and front fenders. The sports car rides on 20-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels with a red rim and NISMO logo. Nissan’s new logo has also been added which sits on the trunk and center caps.

Nissan will only build a limited number of Nissan GT-R NISMOs for the U.S. market. The high-performance sports car will start at an MSRP of around $210,7405 (plus destination fee). While this may seem like a significant increase from the base Nissan GT-R which starts at an MSRP of $133,540 (plus destination fee), the GT-R NISMO offers drivers a dynamic driving experience with unparalleled performance. For those wanting the increased performance and unique aesthetic of the GT-R NISMO, they’ll have to hurry fast before orders fill up.
