What to Expect From The 2023 Nissan Altima
The 2023 Nissan Altima was recently improved with new exterior styling and performance upgrades. Nissan is hoping that by improving the Altima, it can increase the appeal of the family sedan. Although Nissan has been focusing on its electrification efforts as of late, the automaker is still putting effort towards its combustion engine lineup. Nissan recently released the all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya which it hopes will solidify it as an EV maker. While the Nissan Leaf has seen a lot of success, Nissan wants to demonstrate its electric capabilities and prove that it can produce high-performance EVs. For now, we’ll take a look at the 2023 Nissan Altima and see what changes consumers can expect.
What Changes Were Made To The 2023 Nissan Altima?
The 2023 Nissan Altima was recently improved with both exterior and interior changes. The family sedan also received some performance upgrades. The Altima will still offer its standard 2.5L four-cylinder engine, but consumers will also be able to opt for a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine. The standard 2.5L delivers 188 horsepower while the 2.0L delivers 248 horsepower. The 2.5L engine comes can also be equipped with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive while the turbo 2.0L engine comes exclusively with front-wheel drive. The Altima also benefits from a stiff chassis and independent front suspension which give the sedan excellent handling. The sedan’s continuously variable transmission also provides it with surprising efficiency.Â
As for its exterior changes, Nissan first took to reworking the 2023 Altima’s front end. The family sedan now features a V-motion front grille that takes up more of the front fascia. The front bumper also has larger intakes. If consumers opt for the Nissan SR trim, they will receive a black chrome finish grille design. The 2023 Altima also received new wheel designs. Four different wheel options that range in size from 17 to 19 inches are available. The family sedan also has two new exterior color options: Gray Sky Pearl and Garnett Pearl.
Inside the 2023 Altima, owners will note a new finish around the gauge cluster. The higher-end SR trim also features dual-stitch fabric. A significant change to the sedan is a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen that comes standard on the SL and SR trims. This touchscreen features clearer graphics and comes compatible with Apple CarPlay. Android Auto requires plugging in, however. Starting at an MSRP of $25,290 (plus destination fee), the 2023 Nissan Altima proves to be a stylish and affordable family sedan with improved capability.Â
