The 2023 Nissan Leaf was recently refreshed for the new model year and now Nissan is providing price estimates for the EV SUV. Nissan is aiming to make the all-electric SUV more competitive in an emerging market of EVs. The Japanese automaker has been planning on expanding its electric lineup in an effort to get ahead of the surging EV wave. While the Nissan Leaf has been available for some time, many consumers have started to become more interested in electric vehicles. Nissan recently updated the SUV with a new look as well as more capability. Now the automaker is keeping new pricing options affordable for consumers. We’ll take a look at the 2023 Nissan Leaf and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Nissan Leaf Sees Slight Price Increase

Nissan recently announced pricing for the 2023 Nissan Leaf. These pricing estimates come after the Japanese automaker’s updates to the all-electric SUV. Nissan provided the 2023 Leaf with a new exterior refresh as well as new aerodynamics. The exterior styling affected the SUV’s front grille, front bumper, and headlights. The Nissan logo was also updated with new illumination. As for the aerodynamics, Nissan improved the car’s design to offer more capability and versatility. Nissan is hoping that these new improvements will make the 2023 Nissan Leaf more competitive in the emerging EV market.

The 2023 Nissan Leaf is offered in two trims, the S and SV Plus. The Nissan Leaf S comes equipped with a 40 kWh battery pack and a 110 kW motor that produces 147 horsepower. The SV Plus gets a 60 kWh battery pack and a more powerful 160 kW motor that’s capable of 214 horsepower. As far as the range goes, the S trim offers 149 miles of battery range while the SV Plus offers 215 miles. While this isn’t the most competitive range, given the performance and capability of the Nissan Leaf, the EV SUV remains an optimal choice.

Pricing has been announced for the 2023 Nissan Leaf. The S trim will start at an MSRP of $27,800 (plus destination fee) while the SV Plus trim will start at an MSRP of $35,800 (plus destination fee). While Nissan has slightly increased its pricing options for the Nissan Leaf, they are not significant. Additionally, consumers considering the 2023 Leaf still have the option for the $7,500 EV tax credit which will drastically reduce the overall price. For those interested, the 2023 Nissan Leaf will be available in the summer of 2022.
