The 2023 Nissan Ariya Has Arrived, Here’s What to Expect
After months of teasing, the 2023 Nissan Ariya is finally here. The all-electric SUV is open for reservations, though it seems they are quickly filling up. As Nissan’s second EV, the 2023 Ariya improves upon Nissan’s electrification technology by providing high performance and capability. While the Japanese automaker has updated the 2023 Nissan Leaf with new styling, those wanting a more powerful EV should look toward the all-new Ariya. We’ll take a look at the all-electric 2023 Nissan Ariya and see what consumers can expect.
What Does the 2023 Nissan Ariya Offer?
The 2023 Nissan Ariya is an all-electric crossover SUV that sits on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform. Owners of the electric SUV can decide between either a single motor or a dual motor. The single motor offers 226 horsepower and 221lb-ft of torque while the dual motor offers 389 horsepower and 442lb-ft of torque. The single motor is also paired with front-wheel drive while the dual motor is paired with all-wheel drive. As for the battery range, the Ariya is capable of 300 miles of miles before needing to recharge.
In designing the 2023 Ariya, Nissan’s engineers wanted to ensure that the crossover SUV would be engaging and smooth. This was accomplished by allowing the Ariya to blend friction with regenerative braking. The result is that drivers can use an e-Pedal which enables one pedal to be used for both driving and braking. An improved suspension also means that drivers and passengers will enjoy a comfortable riding experience even in otherwise unsavory terrain.
Inside the 2023 Nissan Ariya, owners will note a stylish and spacious interior cabin. Since the Ariya utilizes an EV platform, there’s more space in the front row. Those opting for a higher trim will note heated and ventilated seats along with stitched Nappa leather. The SUV features two 12.3-inch screens that serve as the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. For technology and safety, there’s Nissan’s safety shield 360 suite which includes lane-departure warnings, rear cross-traffic alerts, blind spot warnings, automatic emergency braking, and more. The Ariya also features a digital rear camera mirror and head-up display. Starting at an MSRP of $45,950 (plus destination fee), the 2023 Nissan Ariya looks to be a powerful EV SUV with a lot of capability.
