Nissan Prepares Exciting Lineup For 2022 SEMA Show

Nissan will be unveiling several new concepts at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show happens annually and invites manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to see what automakers offer. This year, Nissan will be showcasing its new Nissan Z GT4 racing car as well as five other concept vehicles. The Japanese automaker’s lineup for the SEMA show includes two EVs, the refreshed 2023 Nissan Leaf, and the all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya. As of late, the automaker has been very busy with its electrification efforts. The Ariya is the latest EV to be offered, but it doesn’t seem Nissan will stop there. For now, we’ll look at the rest of Nissan’s lineup and see what consumers can expect from the 2022 SEMA Show.

What to Expect from Nissan at The 2022 SEMA Show

Nissan will showcase several new concept vehicles at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Hosted annually, this show allows manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to check out what automakers are working on. Typically automakers present exciting new concept vehicles and accessories that improve their current lineup. This year, Nissan revealed several new concepts, including a Nissan Sunny Leaf, Nissan Ariya Surfwagon, Nissan Off-Road Frontier, and a Nissan Z GT4.

As Nissan focuses on its EVs, the automaker will reveal two EV concept vehicles. The first is a pickup truck with the Nissan Leaf powertrain swapped in. Called the Nissan Sunny Leaf project, this EV pickup puts an electric spin on a classic Nissan pickup design. The other EV showcased is a Nissan Ariya Surfwagon concept which features a retro design combined with modern technology. The electric wagon has a beach-style design with a wood panel wrap. 

Additional concepts showcased at the 2022 SEMA include a powerful NISMO off-road Frontier concept. Equipped with a V8 engine, this pickup truck features a unique suspension, a wide body conversion, and various NISMO off-road parts. A street truck concept also fits the Frontier with a special wheel-and-tire package. Most exciting is the Nissan Z GT4, a powerful racing car that will defend the legacy of the Nissan Z in a series of circuit races. For owners of the revitalized 2023 Nissan Z, the automaker will offer a variety of NISMO accessory components that focus on personalization. We’ll find out more as the 2022 SEMA show debuts, but so far, it looks like Nissan will have a lot of exciting concepts to show off.
