Nissan is Implementing “Project Overland” on the Pathfinder and Frontier

The SEMA Show is one of the country’s biggest automotive events for aftermarket performance parts and accessories and this year it took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The four-day event lasted between November 1 – November 4, 2021. Nissan made a special appearance at this year’s SEMA Show with its pair of “Project Overland” models. The two vehicles are the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder and the 2022 Nissan Frontier and both are equipped with Nismo-branded Off-Road parts that include enhancements to the suspension, tires, lighting, in addition to camping gear.

The Overland Pathfinder

Nissan’s “Project Overland” begins with the all-new Nissan Pathfinder that comes with several special modifications such as a prototype Nismo Off-Road 2-inch lift kit, high-capacity monotube gas-pressurized shocks, and 18-inch off-road wheels. For the camping enthusiast and off-road adventure seeker, Nissan adds a Nismo-branded Off-Road expedition roof rack, Roa Adventure Company 83L Rugged Cases, and Nismo-branded Off-Road 6-inch driving lights. For added protection, Nissan placed a custom-built bumper guard on the front fascia with Rigid D-Series driving lamps. Inside the cabin of the Overland Pathfinder is an Egoé Nestbox Camper Conversion Kit with a camp kitchen and sleeping platform system.

The Overland Frontier

In the pickup truck department, the Nissan Frontier receives its own batch of Nismo upgrades that make it more robust and capable than ever before. Some of the primary upgrades include an Off-Road Suspension Kit, a 2-inch lift in front, and SPC Front Upper Control Arms with xAxis sealed flex joints. Toward the rear of the vehicle are Nissan Off-Road Performance Shock Absorbers with remote reservoirs that work in conjunction with Custom Nismo Off-Road rear leaf Springs. The Overland Nissan Frontier rides on 17-inches Nismo Off-Road AXIS wheels.
