Nissan Adds All-Electric Leaf and Ariya to Live Showroom
Nisan will be adding the all-electric 2022 Nissan Leaf as well as the all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya to its Live Showroom. Like many others, the Japanese automaker has been focusing heavily on electric vehicles. So much so that Nissan has planned an impressive investment of $18 billion toward electrification. Although the Nissan Leaf was one of the first electric vehicles to hit the market, Nissan understands that consumers want more capability and more functionality. By improving and expanding its Live Showroom, Nissan will allow consumers to get a more comprehensive look at its vehicles before they make a purchase. Pair this with Nissan’s new Nissan@Home online service and you can see that Nissan is betting on a digital experience. We’ll consider Nissan’s decision to move online and see how it might affect the auto industry.
Nissan Expands Live Showroom
Nissan will be updating its Live Showroom to include the all-electric Nissan Ariya and Nisan Leaf. Both electric vehicles have been improved for the model year with new features and better battery capacity. Like many automakers, Nissan has been trying to get a lead on the EV revolution. Although Nissan has had the Nissan Leaf on the market for some time, the massive wave of electrification seen by automakers has spurred larger investments in EV technology. With the Live Showroom, Nissan can allow consumers to learn more about Nissan’s lineup from the comfort of their homes.
Nissan’s Live Showroom operates out of a facility in Watford, Hertfordshire in southern England. The facility allows customers to talk to Nissan product experts in real-time using a video link. Launched in 2021, the Japanese automaker is betting on this convenience enabling more eyes on their lineup and thus more purchases. About the Live Showroom, Nissan Motor Great Britain marketing director Nic Thomas said,
‘‘I’m tremendously excited by our Live Showroom project,” said Thomas. “We know that the vast majority of automotive purchase research is completed online – and more than ever, consumers know a huge amount about which model they are interested in before they set foot in one of our dealerships.”
The Live Showroom will pass along leads through Nissan’s dealer network to help potential buyers. Those wanting to research or learn more about Nissan’s lineup can browse with ease and convenience. We’ll have to wait and see how Nissan’s Live Showroom will fare, but it’s likely it will be a huge success.
