J.D Power Ranks 2022 Nissan Versa As The Most Appealing Small Car

The 2022 Nissan Versa has been ranked as the most appealing small car by J.D Power. Operating as an American data analytics and consumer research company, J.D Power categorizes vehicles based on various attributes. In this year’s APEAL Study, J.D Power categorized the Nissan Versa as the most appealing vehicle based on its powertrain, infotainment system, and driving comfort. As of late, Nissan has been focused on its electrification efforts. New vehicles like the 2023 Nissan Ariya and Nissan Leaf have been improved dramatically to offer high performance. Thankfully, the Japanese automaker’s focus on EVs has not affected its combustion engine lineup. 2022 Nissan Versa Most Appealing According to J.D Power

Leading data analytics and consumer research company J.D Power recently categorized the 2022 Nissan Versa as the most appealing small car in its APEAL Study. Conducted annually, this study gauges consumer satisfaction by looking at feedback during the first few months of ownership. Attributes like seating comfort, throttle response, and other key characteristics are then tallied for a final score. Out of all the subcompact vehicles studied, the Nissan Versa managed to come out on top.

The 2022 Nissan Versa arrives with a four-cylinder engine that’s capable of 122 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission but consumers can also opt for a continuously variable automatic transmission CVT). While the Versa does not offer the most impressive horsepower, the subcompact car makes up for it by offering impressive fuel efficiency. Equipped with a manual transmission, the 2022 Nissan Versa gets 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. With the CVT, those numbers increase to 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

Starting at an MSRP of $15,580 (plus destination fee), the Nissan Versa is highly efficiency. Inside the subcompact car, owners will note a spacious interior with heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Passengers will be comfortable whether in the front or back. Regarding storage, there are several smart storage solutions throughout the cabin. The trunk also offers 14.7 cubic feet of space. For infotainment, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen and for safety, the Versa features Nissan Safety Shield 360. This comes with safety features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and blind-spot monitoring to name a few. Overall, the 2022 Nissan Versa is an affordable subcompact sedan that offers a lot.
