2022 Nissan Sentra

An increasingly high number of new cars are becoming more expensive, and this is because of several factors. Among them are that automakers are inserting more sophisticated technology into their vehicles with more safety features and tidbits of luxury features here and there. The recent global chip shortage also takes a toll on the prices of new cars. However, Nissan has kept the 2022 Sentra at a starting base price of just under $20,000, making it one of the most affordable compact vehicles in its class. The 2022 Sentra is a superb vehicle for budget-oriented consumers who desire a daily driver, even a small sedan. The Sentra offers a blend of refined driving dynamics, passenger safety technologies, and flavorful exterior styling, making it a well-put-together package.

Admirable Engine and MPG Ratings

Powering the 2022 Nissan Sentra is a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine that produces 149hp and 146 lb-ft of torque via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Even though the Nissan Sentra is not a performance sedan, its top-selling point is its fuel efficiency. It gets 29mpg in the city, 39mpg on the highway, and 32mpg of mixed driving. With its 12.4-gallon fuel tank, the Sentra can travel about 400 miles on one tank of gas.

Cabin Space and Materials

Most consumers think that if a vehicle is cheap, then the quality of the vehicle is inevitably going to be set to a low standard. While most consumers may generally accept this, that is not necessarily the case every time. Automakers like Nissan know how to maximize the value of a vehicle without compromising a whole lot of quality. The interior of the Sentra is a mix of soft and hard plastics, and on the higher trims such as the SV and SR, they feature quilted leather upholstery and super comfortable Zero Gravity Seats.

Vehicle Packages and Other Features

The 2022 Sentra acquires a new Midnight Edition Package, and for an extra $695, interested buyers can get it. This package features a front grille, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and 18-inch aluminum wheels painted in gloss black. Nissan also offers an All-Weather Package for $590 on the SV trim that adds dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and remote engine start functionality. Nissan also has placed plenty of safety features on its Sentra sedan in the form of its signature Safety Shield 360 system. This system comes with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic on/off headlights with automatic high beams.
