2022 Nissan Pathfinder Highlights

The Nissan Pathfinder is all-new for the 2022 model year, and it has gone through a significant redesign both inside and out. Now entering its fifth generation, the Pathfinder SUV offers three-row seating and enough room for eight passengers, ideal for active families that like to travel often. Capable Engine

Only one standard engine is available on the new Pathfinder, and it provides plenty of punch to get going on the road. Powering the SUV is a 3.5 L V6 engine that makes 284hp and 259 lb-ft of torque via a nine-speed automatic transmission. Drivers that need to haul heavy equipment or supplies will find that the Nissan Pathfinder is up for the job; it is a competent SUV with a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 lbs.  

Diverse Trim Levels

Nissan offers four trim levels to choose from S, SV, SL, and Platinum trims. Vehicle costs range from a low of $33,680 to $48,440 (plus destination fees and other optional equipment).

Base S Trim – The lowest-priced trim comes with Nissan’s Safety Shield® 360°, Tri-Zone Climate Control, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.

SV trim – Consumers who want extra features will find this trim to be an ideal choice. It features heated front seats (with 10-way power adjustability and 2-way power lumbar), ProPILOT Assist Technology, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a Remote Engine Start System.

SL trim – This trim offers entry-level luxury features such as Leather-appointed seats (1st and 2nd row), a heated steering wheel, an Intelligent Around View® Monitor, LED fog lights, and a NissanConnect® 9″ color touchscreen display.

Platinum trim – For all the available features and luxury details, the platinum trim doesn’t disappoint. It arrives with 20-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels, second-row fold-down captain’s chairs, a panoramic Moonroof, a wireless charger, a tow hitch receiver with a 7-pin wiring harness, and a 13-speaker Bose Premium Audio System (with dual subwoofers).

Updated Technology

The technology inside the cabin is one of the top-selling points for the new Pathfinder. It features a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an available 10.8-inch head-up display that indicates speed, navigation info, and much more. On the center dash, an 8-inch touchscreen display is standard (however, a larger 9-inch touchscreen is available). The onboard 13-speaker Bose Premium Audio system provides drivers with high-quality sound for music and radio. Other notable features include Nissan’s Door-to-Door navigation, a new wide-view digital Intelligent Around New Monitor, which has higher resolution screens than previous versions.
