2022 Nissan Leaf to Receive New Style Refresh

Nissan will be updating the 2022 Nissan Leaf with a new style refresh. The style update will consist of improvements to the exterior and wheels. Since its new generation release in 2017, the Nissan Leaf has served as an affordable and versatile zero-emission EV. The compact SUV was one of the first EVs to become available to consumers and as such, it has pioneered the transition to electric vehicles that we see today. As of late, Nissan has been very busy working on its EVs. The Japanese automaker already has the all-electric Nissan Ariya, but they still plan to invest up to 18 billion into electrification efforts. For now, we’ll be focusing on the 2022 Nissan Leaf, but this is great momentum for Nissan into the EV sphere.

2022 Nissan Leaf Sees New Style Update

The 2022 Nissan Leaf will be getting a new style refresh. The update will consist of changes to the exterior and wheels. The compact EV will feature new color options as well as 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels. With the new updates, Nissan is hoping to make the 2022 Leaf a bit sportier. The new wheel options combined with a slick black fascia also help lend a premium feel to the vehicle.

Inside the 2022 Nissan Leaf, consumers will find a spacious and comfortable interior. With the option for either plastic or leather material, the compact EV provides drivers with a modern interior cabin. The EV features a 40-kWh battery capable of 149 miles of range. Although the range is somewhat limited, consumers can opt for the S Plus trim which features 226 miles of battery range. Other features include the Nissan Connect infotainment system and the ProPilot driver assist feature. This ProPilot feature enables the 2022 Leaf to automatically stop, then start and maintain a safe distance from vehicles in the front.

The 2022 Nissan Leaf starts at an MSRP of $28,425 (plus destination fee). Other trim options feature more luxury elements, but the base is still optimal for the everyday driver. The compact EV features an e-Pedal which allows drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and stop with only one pedal for maximum comfort.
